Country Security Manager, Cairo; Egypt ABB

As a Country Security Manager you will be responsible for providing safe and secure environment to ABB employees, subcontractors and visitors within Egypt, North, Africa and Africa (ENCA) 24 countries where ABB has permanently operating entities at 10 countries. Security function is committed to empowering business and providing active support to Group Security programs. Responsible for leading teams providing physical security to minimize risk for personnel, physical assets and project sites. Coordinating crisis response and preparedness within the cluster. Developing and maintaining local/ area security networks for sharing and analysis of information, trends on present or emerging threats.
Tasks
Your main responsibilities in this role will include: • Creating and maintaining a cluster security network within the ENCA Hub, including local ABB entities, peers, government representatives and similar contacts. • Taking regular part in business meetings and liaising with different BU’s to learn the need for security support and share intelligence on security trends. • Monitoring and guiding the performance of local security provider(s) for Egypt and prioritized Spoke countries. • Developing and maintaining Security planning as per the Regional Security plan. • Acting as Crisis coordinator for the ENCA Crisis team. • Leading security function and coaching security personnel within the Hub; actively supporting Group security programs. • Performing Security Training for all types of employees as per the Regional Security Plan. • Performing Security Audits as per the regional Security Audit Plan. • Providing and coordinating security support for ABB business throughout different ENCA countries. • Regularly reporting incidents and security KPI’s as per the Regional Security Plan. • Performing and follow up on monthly SOT’s at sites and offices in the cluster, in cooperation with local HSE managers at different countries. • Supporting Legal and Integrity (LI) by carrying out basic LI awareness training during travels in Africa. • Developing an internal ABB Security Training Program for newly appointed security coordinators or part time security managers and security providers’ team leaders at ABB sites.
Requirements
As an ideal candidate, you should be Police academy or military graduate with over 10 years in security field, including at least 3 years in Corporate Security. Substantial awareness of ABB security standards, regulations and guidelines. Profound knowledge of ABB business plans and requirements. Proficiency in spoken & written Arabic and English is required. French is added advantage.
