Director of Security
The Director of Security is responsible to ensure that safety and security measures in the hotel are observed at all times.

An impressive 100,000 square meters, the Emerald Palace Kempinski Dubai comprises 347 luxuriously appointed rooms, of which 36 are exquisitely spacious suites. Surrounded by pristinely landscaped tropical gardens are eight highly appointed royal villas with stunning views of the Palm Lagoon. The hotel’s wide variety of international restaurants, boutique mall and cinema provide ample dining and entertainment attractions. With its opening in 2018, the hotel’s classical design will complement the Kempinski Residences and Hotel Apartments Palm Jumeirah, which has been developed in the same architectural style and is located on the adjacent plot.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and approve a contingency plan for all areas of security (i.e. fire, bomb threat, access control, etc).
24 hour security coverage is provided throughout the Hotel.
Knowledge of all local laws is understood and adhered to.
Play an active role as a member of the Hotel’s Emergency Response Team.
Effective access control, key control and material control systems have been put in place as measures of preventative security.
Ensure investigations have been conducted and concluded in case of theft, loss, acts of vandalism, arson, accident or any other incident of a security nature.
All surveillance equipment is operated and maintained according to standards.
Ensure that all potential and real hazards are reported and reduced immediately.
All emergency procedures are practiced and enforced to provide the security and safety of guests and employees.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
Minimum of 8 to 10 years’ experience within the Security department, ideally in a luxury hospitality environment, including a minimum of 4 years’ in a managerial position
English – excellent verbal and written skills
Arabic – would be preferred
Additional language(s) – beneficial
Excellent understanding of local laws and regulations, including but not limited to Fire Control, CCTV security system and Dubai Municipality standards
Good understanding of Microsoft Office
