TRYP by Wyndham Dubai – Opening August 2017
With 650 guest rooms including 24 suites, the four-star TRYP by Wyndham Dubai is currently planned to be the largest TRYP by Wyndham hotel in the world! Located in the heart of the Al Barsha South business district, the hotel will be within easy reach of attractions including Mall of the Emirates and Palm Jumeirah. Hotel facilities will include designated meeting space, a spa, gymnasium and a variety of food and beverage outlets including a tapas restaurant and all-day dining restaurant, as well as a coffee shop, lounge area and bar.
What will you be doing as Security Manager?
The Security Manager is responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the security department. He/she ensures the security of the building and safety of the guests and TRYPsters, preventing accidents and incidents and liaising with relevant government agencies. You will protect the hotel assets and guest’s property from theft and damage using an intelligence-led approach to security. You will provide leadership for security guards and maintain a disciplined regime to ensure minimum standards are maintained, while educating other departments on how security is everyone’s responsibility and how you, as a security function, can assist each department. You drive hotel safety drills, planning and executing them, reviewing what went well and what could have been done better and adjusting tactics. You will build, maintain and develop relationships with external partners such as the police, civil defense and other security services. You would also be responsible to ensure compliance with Wyndham Hotels rules and regulations for the reporting and investigating accidents, thefts, property loss, unlawful activities, ensuring suitable investigation files are maintained.

What are we looking for?
At least 5 years of experience of corporate security/law enforcement/hotel security/military
Someone who values independent thinking
Creativity and intelligence
Progressive experience in managing a large team
Communication skills are key
Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Knowledge of CCTV and access control a definite benefit
Strong knowledge of local laws, investigative methods and fire safety
Effective conflict resolution and problem solving skills
Multilinguistic
Previous experience in a similar role added advantage but not essential
